How to Buy and Sell at the Same Time

Buying and selling at the same time can be tough. However, it’s something most of us need to learn to come to terms with.

Most people who own a home will have to go through the process of buying and selling simultaneously. However, most people don’t know where to begin. That’s what we’re here to help clear up. Here are the first three things you should do:

1. Figure out what you’ll net from the sale of your home (with an agent’s help).
2. Get pre-approved with a local, reputable lender.
3. Decide what, if any, improvements you will make before putting the home for sale on the market.

After you figure those things out, it’s time to shift your focus toward how you are going to juggle two transactions at once. I suggest that you start looking at homes, but don’t pull the trigger on anything until you have some traction on your sale.

As we all know, real estate transactions are complicated. That’s why it’s all the more important to work with a knowledgeable and experienced Realtor.
